Andropol S. A. itself was established in 1906 through the partnership Bracia Czeczowiczka (Czeczowiczka Brothers partnership) under the name of Pierwsza Galicyjska Tkalnia Mechaniczna (the First Galician Mechanical Weaving Mill). In 1992 the plant was transformed into a joint stock company and subjected to privatisation carried out by the National Investment Fund.

Andropol S.A. itself reflects not only one hundred years of tradition but also state-of-the art technical and technological standards in the Polish textile industry.

The width of finished fabrics produced by mills belonging to Andropol S.A. ranges from 50 to 165 centimetres, whereas their mass per square meter ranges from 70 to 400. The mills manufacture bleached, dyed, printed and colour-woven fabrics of high physical, mechanical and resistance parameters.

In order for the utility parameters of our fabrics to meet the demands of our clients, we apply a wide range of high quality finishes, the most important of which are:

  • oleophobic finish – making the fabric more resistant to stains
  • water - resistant finish – giving the fabric hydrophobic features through chemical treatment;
  • water - proof finish – giving the fabric water-proof features through chemical treatment;
  • flame-resistant, anti-putrescent, Sanitized and Tinosan anti-bacterial finish and acid-proof finish
  • softening and Teflon-type finish.

In practice, mono-functional or multifunctional finishes combine features of the above specified finishes. Fabrics are subjected to a sanforisation process, which ensures utility shrinkage not exceeding 2%.
